The Hay-on-Wye 18 mile bike ride is an annual family cycling event organised by our Herefordshire Branch and volunteers. It takes place in the beautiful Brecon Beacons countryside, in the picturesque town of Hay-on-Wye. Hay is home to the Hay Festival, which attracts thousands of people to this beautiful part of the world every year.
The event isn't a race and its ethos is to get together, raise some money for the Trust, and have a great time doing it with friends and family.
The event starts from Hay Town Clock at 9:45am and follows a circular route through Llanigon, Glasbury and Clyro and looping back to Hay-on-Wye town centre where you will be welcomed by numerous cheers from the volunteers and supporters. You will receive your cycling number to pin to your t-shirt for event safety on the morning, so please arrive with plenty of time to register on the day. There will be refreshments and medals for all competitors upon completion of the cycle.
