Cystic Fibrosis Trust

Digital Youth Outreach Officer

£15,000 (21 hours per week) plus benefits and flexible working.

Based in our offices in Aldgate, Central London or home based.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is looking for someone to develop and deliver an exciting new programme of online events for people with cystic fibrosis (CF).

Our new youth outreach programme ‘Building Brighter Futures’ aims to equip young people with CF aged 10-18 years old with the essential skills they need to navigate adolescence and become independent young adults.

Through a series of online workshops, talks and other events, we seek to empower young people with CF to overcome challenges, pursue their life goals and reach their full potential. The post-holder will be expected to design the programme to meet clearly identified needs, informed by extensive consultation with young audiences.

Due to the risk posed by cross-infection, people with CF cannot meet in person, meaning this programme must be delivered online. Experience of reaching and engaging young audiences using digital media is therefore essential.

An understanding of the issues faced by young people living with a long-term condition would be an advantage. Enthusiasm, ideas and a positive attitude are a must.

This new role will be funded by Children in Need for a fixed term of three years. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

If this is for you we would love to hear from you. Take a look at the full job description, complete the application form and equal opportunities form, and send your CV and a covering letter detailing your relevant experience to recruitment@cysticfibrosis.org.uk. The equal opportunities form will be separated from your application form prior to the selection process. The information you provide will be treated as sensitive data under the Data Protection Act 1998. Your assistance is appreciated.

Closing date for completed applications will be 5 June 2017
