An opportunity has now arisen to join us at an exciting point of our journey. By supporting the Director of Finance & Resources, wider Senior Leadership Team and colleagues across the Trust with financial advice and analysis, you can help drive the organisation towards its goal of beating cystic fibrosis. Your role will be to provide operational management of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust’s finances. You will take the lead on the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts and manage the year end accounts preparation and external audit process. Being the main point of contact with our Trustees regarding financial performance and strategy, with regular reporting at senior level, you will be a key voice in implementing financial best practice.
With oversight and monitoring of the finance team, you will ensure processes are followed and issues identified and dealt with in a timely manner. Being highly numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills you will have a track record of working to tight deadlines.
This role will require hands-on technical capabilities and the ability to quickly assess and apply financial best practice. The successful candidate will need to act as both a technical lead and provide operational leadership to the team.
