Cystic Fibrosis Trust

Research and Grants Officer

Circa £17,000 for three days a week plus benefits and flexible working

Based in Central London

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity making a daily difference to the lives of people with cystic fibrosis, and those who care for them. We invest in cutting-edge research, drive up standards of clinical care, offer support for everyone affected by cystic fibrosis, and campaign hard on the issue that matter.

Cystic fibrosis is chronically misunderstood, kills thousands worldwide and is carried unknowingly in the genes of millions. We’re here to beat it.

Putting people with cystic fibrosis at the centre of everything we do is key to helping us beat the condition for good, and doing this is a challenge that you’ll relish.

The Trust has ambitious plans to expand its research programmes over the next five years. As such, the Trust needs to increase the capacity for managing and administering calls for research applications, their peer review and the post-award scrutiny of impact reports and financial claims. We are therefore looking for an effective administrator to work alongside our Research and Grants Manager to process and administer the Trust’s various research grant programmes and to assist in the management of all financial claims made to the Trust from grant holders ensuring appropriate payment and accurate record keeping.

With excellent communications skills and the ability to liaise at all levels you will have a flexible outlook and enjoy being a part of a busy team. With an interest in scientific and medical affairs, you will be working in an environment where you will be empowered to take initiative and prioritise your work when necessary.

If this is for you we would love to hear from you. Take a look at the full job description, complete the application form and equal opportunities form, and send your CV and a covering letter detailing your relevant experience to recruitment@cysticfibrosis.org.uk. The equal opportunities form will be separated from your application form prior to the selection process. The information you provide will be treated as sensitive data under the Data Protection Act 1998. Your assistance is appreciated.

Closing date for completed applications is 7th July 2017
