Clinical Fellowship Programme 2017/2018

Applications for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust’s Clinical Fellowship programme for 2017/18 are open. Deadline for applications is midday Friday 3 March (Physiotherapy only).

The scheme provides specialist adult CF centres with a one-year grant to train adult physicians in the management of cystic fibrosis (CF), and aims to train the future leaders of specialist adult CF care.

The programme also gives Fellows the opportunity to embark on clinically-based research or quality-improvement projects, which work in tandem with the clinical training programmes.

The Trust’s Clinical Fellowship Programme has sponsored dozens of physicians to invest their work in CF across many decades and many of the best and brightest leaders working in CF in the UK today have benefitted from this vital support.

At this year’s European Cystic Fibrosis Society (ECFS) Annual Conference, 1986 Clinical Fellow Professor Diana Bilton was awarded the ECFS Award for lifetime achievement in the field of cystic fibrosis.

The Trust is committed to enhancing this legacy and is currently sponsoring Clinical Fellows in Manchester, Belfast and London, and we are looking to support two more from this year’s applications.

Please send any questions you may have to cag@cysticfibrosis.org.uk.
