Clinical trials

Clinical trials are essential to prove the safety and effectiveness of new drugs, and to make them available as quickly as possible. Every new CF drug is the result of years of careful research and rigorous testing, and there are a lot of exciting new treatments in development that could offer real hope to people with CF across the UK.

We know that clinical trials are essential, but at the moment there aren’t enough opportunities for people with CF to take part, which prevents timely access to cutting edge therapies and treatments. That’s why we’re working to increase the number of clinical trials in the UK, to make it easier for people with CF to take part in trials, wherever they live, and to ensure faster access to better treatments.
