Applications for Cystic Fibrosis Trust grants undergo a rigorous external peer review system before being considered by the Strategy Implementation Board, which recommends applications for funding.
We will also evaluate all proposals in terms of the existing portfolio of research-funded projects and their distribution across the aims of the research strategy to ensure we maintain a balanced portfolio of high-quality research activity.
Our trustees have chosen to focus on ground-breaking research of imminent and/or important clinical relevance to people with cystic fibrosis, for which funding is not available from other sources and which is not happening anywhere else.
Applications must address the relevance to our research strategy.
We fund research to tackle some of the most pressing issues in CF today. Find out how your donations are making a difference.
Cystic fibrosis, or CF, affects the lungs, digestive system and other organs, and there are around 10,500 people living with it in the UK.
