Local branches

We have some amazing fundraising branches in the East!  If you find that there is not a branch in your local area then our Community Development Fundraising Manager and Community Fundraiser Alison Edwards and Claire Milloy are here to assist.

Your support is invaluable to us.  You are the eyes and ears of your community and can help in many ways, whether that be helping our branches with their fundraising, assisting at events such as the Holme Moss Classic, Northampton Lift Tower Abseil or the Railway Children Walk, placing a collection box in a local store or distributing our leaflets, it all makes a huge difference in raising awareness and of course raising funds to help us continue in our fight for a life unlimited by cystic fibrosis.

This long standing group meets infrequently but is committed to working with friends and networks and supporting others. Events vary from coffee mornings, to collections, musical events to personally taking part in challenge events and supporting one another when needed.

Contact: Sharon Moore

The group was set up in 2000 by Sharon Moore, who has a cousin with cystic fibrosis. Sharon initially decided she wanted to raise £1,000 for research into cystic fibrosis, but under her guidance the group is still fundraising and their current total stands at £48,000. They want to raise £50,000 by 2020. The group raises money through Easter and Christmas bingos, tombolas, a Christmas tree at the Fakenham Tree Festival and a quiz sheets which are sold for £1.

The Norfolk branch does not have regular meetings but acts as a contact point for local fund-raising. We give talks to organisations who are considering nominating the Cystic Fibrosis Trust as their annual charity, and other interested groups, and receive donations. We also provide family support.

We are a small but committed group of young people who organise a number of very successful quiz nights throughout the year. We are always looking for new supporters to join in our fundraising activities.

The Trust is committed to funding and supporting cutting-edge research to find new and better treatments for cystic fibrosis. Take a look at some of that work and the progress that is being made.
