Turn worry into wonder
Many will take being together for granted – seeing loved ones, dancing at parties or strolling the Christmas markets. Yet for someone with CF, they face tough choices – join in and risk infection, or stay at home and miss it all.
With your help this Christmas, we can fund the revolutionary research that can help turn worry into wonder for everyone with cystic fibrosis.
Your festive fundraising could help turn worry into wonder for children with CF like Rufus.
Rufus, 3, was born in July 2022. "Until he was about one, we didn't live," Rufus's mum Alix says. "It was all cystic fibrosis."
Rufus spent the first three months of his life in hospital. That time was filled with constant fear. "We always had that worry – would he be out for Christmas?" Alix says. "Friends would ask that, but we didn't know."
But finally, after a very long three months, they were able to bring their baby boy home – just in time for Christmas. “There was suddenly light at the end of the tunnel," Alix says. After so much worry, the family are determined to enjoy every second of the festive period with their two boys.
With your support, we can make sure every family dealing with CF can have a wonderful Christmas. As Alix says, "It's all about finding new medicine that works to help people live a full life with cystic fibrosis."
