Loren Cameron– Data and projects manager, CTAP central team

Loren’s scientific background and long-standing personal interest in cystic fibrosis led her to complete a CF Trust-funded PhD in Clinical Medicine Research at Imperial College London in 2019, as part of Professor Jane Davies’ Strategic Research Centre for Pseudomonas infection in CF. During her PhD she investigated microbiological and genetic features of Pseudomonas aeruginosa persistent infection and developed biological tools to monitor these respiratory infections in sputum.

Over the past 10 years Loren has gained experience across a range of academic, clinical and healthcare settings with a key focus on translating research and improving clinical pathways to benefit patients and end users.

She is extremely excited to join the CF Trust CTAP team!

Shahara has come from a background of trial management and coordination in various disease areas including cancer, haematology, women’s health, infection, and cardiovascular disease. She has varied experience in clinical trial processes, from working in R&D, as well as monitoring and some database development from a clinical trials unit perspective.

She has always found face to face interactions with clinical trial patients to be a highly rewarding experience and is very much enjoying working at RBHT and being part of the CTAP Network.
