London Marathon 2027 – Run for Team CF
The TCS London Marathon is one of the most iconic races in the world. Every year, runners of all abilities take on 26.2 miles through the heart of London, supported by incredible crowds and an unforgettable atmosphere. It’s a once in a lifetime challenge for many. It really is an experience like no other!
Is running the London Marathon for Team CF right for you?
The London Marathon is an incredible challenge but it is a challenge. Training for 26.2 miles takes time, commitment and consistency. Fundraising requires energy, creativity and confidence, and marathon day itself is long, emotional and physically demanding.
Before applying for a Team CF place, we ask that you carefully consider what’s involved:
- Training – You’ll need to follow a structured training plan over several months, building up mileage safely and consistently.
- Fundraising – As a charity runner, you’ll be committing to a fundraising target of £3,000 that helps us continue our vital work.
- Time & cost – Training, travel, kit, nutrition and recovery all require both time and financial investment.
- Race day commitment – The marathon itself is a demanding day that requires resilience, preparation and determination.
We want every Team CF runner to feel confident, supported and proud of what they achieve. If you’re ready to commit to the challenge and run with purpose, we’d love to welcome you to Team CF.
Charity places
The application process for our charity places is now open and will be closing on Sunday 12th July 2026.
Ballot places
The ballot is now closed. Results will be announced by early July.
Please note that you can only obtain a ballot place, via the event organisers. We are not responsible for, nor can we give out, ballot places.
2027 TCS London Marathon Double
For one year only, the world‑famous TCS London Marathon will expand into a two‑day event for its 2027 edition.
My brother Aaron lost his life to CF in October 2020! I have decided to use my lungs and run the London Marathon as Aaron can no longer use his!

TCS London Marathon MyWay
Take part virtually by signing up to 2027 TCS London Marathon MyWay.
Whether you want to amble along country lanes or power over hills, the TCS London Marathon MyWay is your chance to complete 26.2 miles however and wherever you wish on Marathon Day. Please note you can’t complete the distance indoors or on a treadmill.
I have a place but can I take part with a Support Runner?
If you are visually impaired, or your disability or medical condition means you need a Support Runner, you can apply for a free place for them. Please contact London Marathon outlining your request and the reasons for it. If you would like a Support Runner, the Richard Whitehead Foundation Supported Runners Project in partnership with Nissan can pair you with someone for Event Day. Register your interest with the Richard Whitehead Foundation to find out more.
