Cystic Fibrosis Trust responds to latest Tobacco and Vapes Bill announcement
Dr Brownlee, Director of Medical Affairs at the Cystic Fibrosis Trust: “Today’s commitment from the Government to create the first smokefree generation and protect the most vulnerable, like those with cystic fibrosis, from the dangers of second-hand smoke is a huge step forward.
“We’re also pleased to see that our ask on restrictions on advertising tactics to make vapes less appealing to children and young people will be taken forward. More research is now needed into the long- and short-term effects of vaping and exposure to vapes, particularly for those with lung conditions like CF.”
