Reported ban of single-use vapes

Dr Keith Brownlee, Director of Medical Affairs at Cystic Fibrosis Trust said: "The Government must act urgently to ban the sale of single use vapes and ensure advertising of vaping products is brought in line with cigarettes. Children and teenagers must be protected from dangerous marketing tactics, like using appealing flavours and coloured packaging, which risk nicotine addiction and possible lung damage.

"People with cystic fibrosis should not smoke or vape, as it may irritate the airways which could cause harm over time. While vaping may be a way for some people to quit smoking, we urgently need more research into the long- and short-term effects of using vapes, particularly for those with lung conditions like CF."
