Cystic Fibrosis Trust responds to reported PIP changes

Ben Kind, Head of Policy and Public Affairs at Cystic Fibrosis Trust said: "Living with cystic fibrosis already costs nearly £6800 more annually for a typical family. Restricting access to benefits will wreak havoc on those barely making ends meet. PIP (personal independence payments) can often be a lifeline, enabling CF patients to afford crucial necessities: extra food for weight maintenance, heating for warmth, and travel for vital medical appointments. It’s vital that the Government ensures PIP properly supports those living with chronic, lifelong conditions like cystic fibrosis.”
