Why run the Cardiff Half Marathon?

The Cardiff Half Marathon has grown into one of the largest and most exciting road races in the United Kingdom; and is truly a race for everyone. Its flat, fast course passes all of the city’s most breathtaking scenery and iconic landmarks including Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium, Civic Centre and stunning Cardiff Bay.

What do I get as part of #Team CF

However you decide to support the Cystic Fibrosis Trust we will support you every step of the way with:

  • A Team CF running top or vest
  • An online fundraising pack with loads of tips and ideas
  • A supportive Team CF Facebook community sharing ideas and advice
  • Regular e-newsletters to keep you up to date with the event information and the Trust's work

Participants with disabilities

This event welcomes participants of all fitness levels and abilities. It is strongly recommended that anyone taking part in a wheelchair should train with their support runner before the event. Both participants must be able to complete the course within the allocated event time limit, which is four hours. The Cardiff Half Marathon route is generally flat, although there is a moderate incline around mile 9.

Please email us for more information.

As I’ve lived with CF my whole life, I was motivated to run it this year to prove to myself mostly, but also to other people living with CF, that it's not going to stop us and we can do anything that we want to do!
