Together, we are working to ensure people with cystic fibrosis can live longer, healthier and more fulfilling lives, with access to the best possible care and treatment.

Your support helps us achieve real progress for the cystic fibrosis community. For example:

• Life expectancy has improved dramatically. When the Trust was founded in 1964, a baby born with cystic fibrosis was unlikely to reach school age. Today, more than half of people with cystic fibrosis in the UK are expected to live beyond 41.
• Every newborn in the UK is now screened for cystic fibrosis. Thanks to sustained campaigning, since 2007 all babies born in the UK are tested at birth, helping ensure earlier diagnosis and better health outcomes.
• We support high-quality specialist care. We work with clinical teams and healthcare commissioners to ensure people with cystic fibrosis receive the specialist care and funding they need.
• We established the UK Cystic Fibrosis Registry. The Registry holds vital clinical data that supports research, improves care and helps shape future services for people with cystic fibrosis.

Through research, better treatments and specialist care, people with cystic fibrosis are living longer and healthier lives than ever before.
