60th anniversary awards
Nominate someone special for a Cystic Fibrosis Trust 60th Anniversary Award!
Our community is made up of people with CF, their friends and families. Doctors and nurses. Physios, dietitians, psychologists, social workers. Scientists and researchers. Supporters. Campaigners. Volunteers. You!
Since 1964 we’ve stood united, together. To mark 60 years of the Trust, we want to celebrate some of the special people who make up the CF community.
We’ll be holding an online awards ceremony on 14 November to shine a light on some of the incredible people who have made a difference to you. There are eight categories for you to nominate members of the community to receive an award.
Details of how to get tickets for the awards ceremony will be shared in the summer.

Outstanding Advocate Award – Winner chosen by public vote
The Outstanding Advocate award is for an individual who has dedicated their own time and energy into raising awareness of cystic fibrosis whilst exemplifying the Trust’s values; ‘Together, Trusted, Unstoppable’.
For example, this could be somebody who has focused on a particular issue to raise awareness of cystic fibrosis by sharing their own story by using their social media platform to create videos, reels, TikToks or Instagram Lives. This person might have worked with the media, rallied local and national support, or written to their political representative to ensure that the opinions of people with CF are listened to. They have acted as a voice for the CF Community through their involvement with the Trust, by sharing photographs, blogs or video diaries about CF and living with CF, encouraging others to take part or engage in an awareness campaign or fundraising challenge. This award is for somebody who has drive and determination to make changes for people living with CF.

Outstanding Young Advocate Award – Winner chosen by public vote
The Outstanding Young Advocate award is for an individual under the age of 18 who has demonstrated drive and resilience in raising awareness of cystic fibrosis acting as a voice for the younger CF community through their involvement with the Trust.
For example, this could be somebody who has focused on a particular CF-related issue, participated in YAG, has raised awareness by sharing their story with their class, rallied local and national support, encouraged their classmates, family and friends or community to take part in a fundraising challenge, or written to their political representative. This award is for somebody who exemplifies the Trust’s values; ‘Together, Trusted, Unstoppable’, and strives to make a difference.

Outstanding Fundraiser Award
The Outstanding Fundraiser award recognises an individual who has made an outstanding effort to fundraise for the Trust. The award is not for the person who has necessarily raised the most money, but for somebody who has demonstrated a unique way to raise money, somebody who has fundraised tirelessly for years, somebody who has battled against adversity or health challenges to fundraise, or somebody who has encouraged others to fundraise.
We are looking for nominations for anyone you think is worthy of this award.

Outstanding Young Fundraiser Award
This award is for Young Fundraisers under the age of eighteen who have made an outstanding effort to fundraise for the Trust. This award is not for the person who has necessarily raised the most money. We are looking for nominations for young people who have shown innovation and determination to fundraise for the Trust. For example, they may have inspired others to fundraise with them, completed a fundraising challenge or task to raise funds, or tried to set a world record.
We are looking for nominations for any young person that you think deserves this award.

Outstanding CF Adult Care Award
The Outstanding CF Adult Care award recognises an individual adult CF care provider who has provided exceptional support to adults with CF. This may be any member of the CF multidisciplinary team.
We would like to receive nominations for individuals within adult CF teams who have gone above and beyond to ensure that your emotional and physical wellbeing is looked after, you are comfortable and feel safe and secure, and that you are always informed with information relevant to you and your CF.

Outstanding CF Paediatric Care Award
The Outstanding CF Paediatric Care award recognises an individual paediatric CF care provider who has provided exceptional support to a child with CF. This may be any member of the CF multidisciplinary team.
We are accepting nominations for individuals who have really made a difference to your child and your family. Someone who has gone above and beyond to ensure your child is well cared for, reassured, and feels safe and comfortable with their CF team. Whether this has been during a hospital stay, on the end of a phone, during treatment, during transition from child to adult care or supporting their emotional wellbeing.

Outstanding Researcher Award – Clinical Research
The Outstanding Researcher – Clinical Research award recognises individuals who are currently working on or can clearly demonstrate their work on innovative and unique research is designed on improving the lives of those living with cystic fibrosis.
Nominations are welcomed for individuals who have been working in the field of research for 1 year or more.

Outstanding Researcher Award – Basic Science
The Outstanding Researcher – Basic Science award recognises individuals who are currently leading or driving innovative scientific research to accelerate better outcomes for people with cystic fibrosis.
Nominations are welcomed for individuals who have been working in the field of research for 1 year or more.
Terms and conditions
- People can be nominated for more than one category.
- You can submit as many nominations as you like.
- Nominations can be submitted by anyone, including people with CF, their families, friends and colleagues, professionals working in CF care, researchers, teachers, and Cystic Fibrosis Trust staff. Under-eighteens must use a parent or carer’s email account to submit nominations.
- The closing date for submissions is 5pm on Friday 21 June. Nominations received after this date will not be considered.
- Once nominations close the applications will be shortlisted, with final judging of award conducted by a committee.
- The Outstanding Advocate Awards will be voted for by the public with nominees being announced on Cystic Fibrosis Trust’s social media and website.
