Grants
We have a number of welfare grants available to help support people with cystic fibrosis (CF) and their families through challenging times.
Emergency grants
Struggling with unexpected costs? If you or your child has CF and you're facing immediate financial difficulty, our emergency grants may be able to help. We prioritise households on low incomes and those most affected by their condition.
Winter Support Fund
Winter can be especially tough for people with CF. If you're struggling to afford essentials like food, heating or household items, our Winter Support Fund offers extra financial help to protect your health through the colder months.
Home Essentials Fund
If you or your child have CF and urgently need a household appliance that’s essential to maintaining their health, like a fridge for storing medication or a washing machine for infection control, we may be able to help.
Home care grants
If you're living with CF and going through a time of significant stress or poor health, you may be eligible for an Edward W Joseph Home Care grant, which helps people with CF stay safely and comfortably at home with the care they need.
Funeral grants
When someone with CF has died, we can provide a grant to help with funeral expenses.
Health and wellbeing grants
Our health and wellbeing grants help people with CF improve their quality of life. You can apply for things like furniture, non-urgent appliances, exercise or hobby equipment – anything that supports your physical or mental wellbeing.
Rest & Relax
If you or your child have CF and are going through a difficult time, we may be able to help with the cost of a holiday, trip or short break in the UK to support your mental and physical wellbeing.
Prescription Prepayment Certificate (PPC) grants
If you have cystic fibrosis and need to pay for your prescriptions, we can provide a one-off grant to cover the cost of a 12-month prepayment certificate.
Joseph Levy Education Fund
Studying while living with CF can come with extra challenges and costs. The Joseph Levy Education Fund offers grants to help cover additional expenses linked to further or higher education, so you can focus on your studies.
Transplant grants
Our transplant grants help to support people living with CF with the costs associated with attending a transplant assessment and having a transplant.
Activity Boost
If you're going through a tough time with your health, our Activity Boost grants can help you get moving again. You can apply for gym membership, activity classes, or personal training sessions, with the agreement of your CF physiotherapist or exercise specialist.
