Specialist cystic fibrosis care
We have put together a collection of consensus documents covering various aspects of cystic fibrosis care, including: Standards of care, Burkholderia cepacia, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Nutrition, Antibiotics and CF-related diabetes.
Our consensus documents were compiled by clinical cystic fibrosis specialists in paediatric and adult care, working in hospitals and academic and scientific institutions throughout the UK.
By referring to the consensus standards clinicians will ensure they provide the optimum level of care for people with cystic fibrosis and their families.
These documents are primarily guidelines for specialist and general clinicians who care for people with cystic fibrosis, but researchers and people with cystic fibrosis and their families may also find them useful. We recommend communicating closely with your nearest specialist CF centre on all aspects of your treatment.
We would like to thank the working parties who helped create these documents, and we are grateful for the comments and suggestions from parents, patients and professionals who have been involved in their review.
