Today, the Government published next steps for the Timms Review, the first full review of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) – a benefit to help with additional costs of a disability - since its introduction in 2013. Last week we met with Sir Stephen Timms, the Minister for Social Security and Disability leading the review, to discuss next steps.
David Ramsden, Chief Executive at Cystic Fibrosis Trust, said: “The Timms review provides a critical opportunity to ensure the PIP benefits system is fair, fit for the future, and supports the health and independence of people with cystic fibrosis, a lifelong condition without a cure.
