Help us tell government the PIP system needs change
For the first time in 10 years, the Government is reviewing how the disability benefit Personal Independence Payment (PIP) works. We need to make sure the right changes are made, vital support is protected, and PIP is made fairer.
Last year, the UK Government proposed damaging changes which would make it harder to qualify for PIP. With your help, we pushed back and those changes were dropped. Now we need your help again.
We know from people with CF and their families that the PIP system needs updating. Assessors don’t have a good understanding of CF, meaning they often make the wrong decision. Many people have to appeal in order to get their PIP award approved, wasting time, energy, and public money.
We need the strongest possible evidence to submit to the review. By sharing your experiences in our anonymous survey, you can help create a system that works.
This survey is open to everyone affected by CF who is on PIP, has received it in the past, or has had their application declined, as well as anyone who supports someone with CF and has helped them with their application or applied on their behalf. Whether you're living with CF or supporting someone who is, your experiences matter and will help us campaign for a better, fairer system for people with CF.
This survey is anonymous. If you are a person with CF who has been let down by the PIP system and would like to share your PIP story publicly, so it can be shared with MPs or used in the media, please email us at [email protected].
