Children's competition
We’ve created a short animated film for young children with cystic fibrosis and their brothers and sisters to help them understand more about CF.
We held a competition for children in the CF community to design a character who would feature in the film.
Our winning design
Phoebe, aged 10, who has CF, created the winning design!
Phoebe developed the character Layla, who became the fifth character for our animation.
Layla is seven years old and she likes pizza, she's tiny and is a bit daft and makes people smile.
And in an exciting twist, we also decided to name an unplanned runner-up!
Lydia, aged 10, who has CF, designed Huffin the Puffin - and we loved him so much, we wanted him to also feature in the film.
Lydia designed Huffin to be brightly coloured - blue for the NHS, yellow for CF and pink for "all the love everyone has given me"!
Huffin is 10 years old and loves animals and food.
Huffin makes his special cameo appearance as a cuddly toy.
Unfortunately there could be only be one winner - but many more fantastic designs were created by children from the CF community.
