Lay introductions to cystic fibrosis services
Find out more about the services, care and outcomes that you can expect from specialist cystic fibrosis (CF) centres in England.
There is a Service Specification for all specialist CF healthcare services delivered by NHS England. This is part of a legal contract between NHS England and the hospitals providing the CF services. We’ve prepared two simple summaries to help you understand what you can expect as a result of this new Service Specification.

What is a Service Specification?
The Specification clearly describes the services, care and outcomes that people with CF can expect from specialist CF centres. It outlines how care should be delivered to people by these centres. This was developed in consultation with experts in CF and in conjunction with people with CF and their families.
