Connect with others

We know that cross-infection can make it difficult to connect with others – but we're here to help.

Sometimes the best support comes from others who are in the same boat. That's why we're here to help you connect with other people with cystic fibrosis (CF) or parents of children with CF.

  • CF Connect

CF Connect is our peer support service for parents of children with CF. CF Connect puts you in touch with a trained parent volunteer who you can talk to in confidence about having a child with cystic fibrosis.

  • Online community

Our community forum is a great place to meet others affected by CF. It’s a safe space to seek information, access support, and chat with others who know what you’re going through.

    Join our online community

  • Involvement Group

Donate your time, expertise, and the knowledge you’ve gathered along your CF journey  –  no matter where you are in that journey.

By signing up to join the Involvement Group, you can share your insights and make sure that the lived experiences of people with CF are at the core of everything we do.

  • Share your story

Sharing your story, and reading the stories of others, can be a great reminder that there are others who understand what you're going through.

If you'd like to share your story with us, please email [email protected]

You can read the stories of others affected by CF in our news section.

  • CF Youth

We have loads of events, support and opportunities for young people with CF and their siblings and friends.

At Building Brighter Futures we run free online events and workshops for 6–14 year-olds with cystic fibrosis.

And our Youth Advisory Group (YAG) is a group of young people aged 14–25 who have CF, or who have a close family connection to someone who has CF, who influence work at the Trust and make sure that the voices of young people with CF are heard.

  • Work Forwards

Our Work Forwards programme offers free tailored careers information, advice, and guidance for people with CF and their loved ones. As well as resources and one-to-one support, we regularly hold events where you can hear from others with CF about their worklives.

If you're looking for inspiration, check out our employment stories library to read about some of the amazing things people with CF are doing in their careers.
