Get ready for CF Week 2026

News -

Our Chief Executive, David Ramsden, introduces CF Week 2026 (8-14 June), and our theme for the week: that every diagnosis is different.

David Ramsden, Cystic Fibrosis Trust CEO stands in front of a sign reading "uniting for a life unlimited"There’s no such thing as a typical day with CF, and no two people have the same experience, but it dominates thousands of lives every day. That’s why for this year’s CF Week, we’re drawing attention to a wide range of stories, and building on what you told us during Not Just Lungs week last year.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank each and every person who has already got involved. Whether you’ve signed your child’s school up to a Wear Yellow Day event, shared your story or experiences, organised a bake sale, are turning your town yellow, running a 24-hour podcast or doing 5k your way – thank you. And for everyone who’d like to get involved, there is still plenty you can do.

Every day brings different challenges and fears for everyone with CF, and there is still no cure. That’s why we won’t stop until CF does. And every time you start conversations about the realities of CF for you and your family, or take part in essential fundraising, you help us make sure we’re there for everyone with CF.

Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing stories around the theme: CF: It's complicated. One diagnosis. 11,000 realities. And we’re here for every single one of you.

We’ll be talking to people with CF across the UK, looking at how every day with CF is different – good days and bad. You can also tune into a special CF Week episode of our CForYourself podcast with our celebrity supporter Vincent Franklin.

We will also be preparing for the brightest fundraising event of the year: Wear Yellow Day. On Friday 12 June, we look forward to seeing all of your yellow outfits and the incredibly creative ways our community is fundraising. Every penny you raise helps fund life-changing research and a brighter future for everyone with CF.

Until then, you can get ready by reading some of our latest stories, showing the huge variety of experiences people with CF face every day:
