Innovation Hub network
This month the Trust and medical research charity LifeArc announced they are co-funding an Innovation Hub network. The network will invest 15 million pounds to fast-track new research and treatments to improve the quality of life for people living with CF. You can find more information on our website.
Atlantic fundraising challenge
Our Trustee Sophie Pierce will take on the challenge of being the first person living with CF to row any ocean when she rows across the Atlantic in January next year. She will be joined by a team of three other women, aiming to raise funds for the Trust. The team said “We are passionate about inspiring women to take part in extreme sports, especially those living with chronic health conditions and disability”. You can read the latest coverage here.
Raising awareness of CF
Supporter Paul spoke to the BBC to raise awareness of CF and the need to do more for those unable to benefit from modulator therapy. His brother Cahir lived with CF and sadly passed away waiting for a double lung transplant. You can read the article and Paul’s story on our website.
Emily and Stuart shared their stories of living with CF with The Telegraph off the back of the Trust’s campaigning work for permanent access to modulators. You can read about it here.
Bob’s cycle challenge
Supporter Bob took on a cycling challenge from Vietnam to Cambodia in September for his daughter Sophie who is living with CF. His amazing fundraising efforts have raised over £8,000 for the Trust. You can read his story in The Express.
