Our August Media Roundup

News -

Join us this month to hear more about our incredible fundraisers and the work we're doing to raise awareness of key issues impacting people affected by CF

Lands End to John O’Groats challenge

Reece walked an incredible 1125 miles, doing over 2.1 million steps, raising money for the Trust and Cancer Research.

Reece said: “Over the past weeks, I’ve explored some of the most stunning parts of the country, climbed unreal summits, and followed historic hiking paths. I’ve also had some memorable encounters with herds of cows, who seemed determined to keep me mooving! Along the way, I’ve met some amazing people who will forever hold a special place in my memories, and I hope to reconnect with them in the future.

This journey has taught me so much about myself—the physical and mental endurance I can muster, and the drive and determination I have to push through the elements, setbacks, and injuries.”

You can support Reece’s challenge here, with thanks to Grocers' Hall who will match donations up to £5000.

Creon

We continued to talk about Creon supply issues that many people affected by CF have been facing. You can find the latest information on our website here.

Thanks to Adam who shared his story and helped raise awareness of this important issue in inews.

Permanent access agreement

We worked with the Observer to celebrate permanent access agreements for modulator therapies, and raise awareness of those who cannot benefit from them. We’d like to thank to Ben and Alix, Stuart, and Emily for sharing their stories with the Observer.

Concert for the Trust

Musicians will host a concert in Matlock Derbyshire, to raise funds for The Trust. The event is being organised by long-standing supporter Marie Shaw and Bunny Hambleton-Relf. You can read more about the event here.
