Today Cystic Fibrosis Trust and medical research charity LifeArc announced they are co-funding a £15m research programme to create a new Translational Innovation Hub Network that will fast track new research and treatments to improve lung health and quality of life for people with CF.
The Exercise as an Airway Clearance Technique in people with cystic fibrosis (ExACT-CF) pilot feasibility study - which looked at whether exercise could be used safely, whether people with CF were willing to take part in this kind of research, and how they experienced it - has been published this month in Thorax, one of the world’s leading respiratory medicine journals.
