In June over 2,000 CF researchers, doctors and representatives from CF teams, from across Europe gathered at a conference centre in Vienna for a busy 3 days discussing the latest news in cystic fibrosis. Here we bring you some highlights from the event.
We speak to 34-year-old performance artist Martin O'Brien to learn more about his latest residency at the Whitechapel Gallery, his career journey, the inspiration behind his work, and his life with CF.
Our confidential Helpline supports anyone affected by cystic fibrosis (CF). Contact us by phone, email, WhatsApp, or social media – we’re here to help.
Last month we met up with UCL-based PhD student Arthur Mitchell and his research supervisors, Dr Guy Moss and Professor Vivek Dua, to hear about how they’re using mathematical modelling to understand what’s happening to mucus in the lungs of people with CF. Arthur’s PhD was co-funded by UCL and by the Trust through a Venture and Innovation Award.
We sat down with Charlie Merriman, who wrote and performed a comedy about living with cystic fibrosis that sold out at the VAULT Festival earlier this year. Here, Charlie reflects on the success of the show and the exciting news that he’ll be taking his play to Edinburgh Fringe in August.
