Breathe - Life Unlimited
What do 10-year old Elle, personal trainer Sophie and chat show star James Corden have in common? They are among 200 people who have shared their breath to make a unique music track raising awareness of cystic fibrosis and the fight for a Life Unlimited by this condition.
Breathe - Life Unlimited
Breathe – Life Unlimited is a world-first, a music track built using a series of sampled breaths put together by internationally acclaimed producer Dimitri Tikivoi, who has worked with stars such as Charlie XCX, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Placebo, to highlight what it means to have to fight for breath every day.
Alongside over 30 celebrities, ranging from actors and comedians to journalists and politicians, ‘Breathe’ features breaths from people living with cystic fibrosis, struggling to breathe, creating a thought-provoking contrast between healthy and damaged lungs.
A powerful video accompanies the track, featuring Sophie Grace Holmes, showing some of the realities of life with cystic fibrosis, and looking forward to the day, within our grasp, where cystic fibrosis is no longer a life-limiting condition.
Why are we doing it?
Quite simply, despite the huge amount of progress we have made over the last 50 years, too many people with cystic fibrosis are still dying too young.
Now we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to beat cystic fibrosis for good. For the first time in history, we can see a day when everyone can look forward to a full and healthy life, unlimited by this devastating condition. Advances in research, care and understanding have created a golden opportunity. But we have to act now before it’s too late.
We need to be bigger and bolder. To increase our impact, we need more funds to achieve ambitious goals and more voices to shout louder about cystic fibrosis. ‘Breathe’ is the first step in a major drive to grow our community, to inspire, influence and involve new audiences in the fight for a Life Unlimited.

How can you get involved with the fight for a Life Unlimited?
It couldn’t be easier – just follow these two easy steps:
Spread the word – share the ‘Breathe’ video across your social media, tell your friends, tell your colleagues – tell strangers in the pub! We need to shout loud and let the world know that cystic fibrosis matters.
Give your time, money or voice – there are loads of ways to get involved.
I wanted to get involved with ‘Breathe’ because it is so vital that we raise awareness and funds to stop so many people dying so young. Parts of the video and the soundtrack are quite harrowing, but that’s part of the reality of life with cystic fibrosis for many people. I believe that to open people’s eyes and hearts, we need to tell it like it is.
