Rosie and Seb

We know from speaking to parents who have cystic fibrosis (CF) that explaining the condition to their children can be tricky. We’ve worked with families affected by CF, and CF clinicians, to publish these two stories about Seb and Rosie, who both have a parent with cystic fibrosis. Both stories are roughly aimed at children aged 5–9 years old – but that’s not to say that children of all ages can’t enjoy them!

Seb’s and Rosie’s stories aim to encourage conversations about cystic fibrosis and how it can affect the lives of people with the condition and their families. Both books include things to chat about with your child after you have read the story. They were funded by Jeans for Genes, a charity that raises money for the care of children and families who are affected by genetic disorders.

These books are regularly reviewed to check that they are still relevant, up to date and accurate, but due to the format minor changes are not always possible. Please be assured that should the content no longer meet our high standards, it will be removed from circulation.

Seb family

Seb’s Best Game

Meet Seb! He lives with his mum, dad, big (sometimes annoying) sister, Ella and their dog Puss. Seb is football mad (he even plays in his dreams!) and super excited when he finds out that he's been chosen to play in a big tournament. But will his dad be able to cheer him on, or will his cystic fibrosis get in the way?
