Roll up, roll up!

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is delighted to invite you to the 2016 UK Cystic Fibrosis Conference (UKCFC) taking place in Nottingham on 7–8  September. 



This year the focus is on the personalisation of medicine and care. Day one is aimed at a professional audience, featuring speakers from leading universities and health organisations in the UK and abroad, as well as the ABPI – a trade association of companies producing precision medicines – and Vertex Pharmaceuticals, the manufacturers of Kalydeco and Orkambi.

 

Day two is aimed at a more general audience, with Keynote speeches from Simon Denegri of the NIHR – the National Institute for Health Research - and George Freeman, Minister for Life Sciences. There will also be an expert forum asking “What does precision medicine mean for me?”, addressing this question from all perspectives, facilitated by Lawrence McGinty, former Head Science and Medical Editor at ITN. 

Janet Allen, Director of Strategic Innovation at the Trust, said: "UKCFC is an opportunity to highlight the incredible progress being made in the fields of cystic fibrosis research and care, and to celebrate the people and organisations devoting their time to it. The Trust is committed to funding projects that take us ever-closer to a life unlimited by cystic fibrosis, and we're very grateful to each and every supporter who makes this work possible."
