The Scottish Government has announced a new interim deal that will see access to Orkambi and Symkevi for everyone with cystic fibrosis (CF) in Scotland who stands to benefit, after reaching an agreement with manufacturer Vertex with support from the UK CF Registry.
The Trust has awarded a £100,000 Venture and Innovation research grant towards a project by Neem Biotech to fine tune ajoene, a compound based on a natural chemical structure, that could be used to help improve the effectiveness of antibiotics for people with cystic fibrosis.
