Navigating work and CF
We want to empower everyone with CF to live without limits, which means supporting the CF community with your career goals and aspirations.
Work Forwards is our programme of free tailored careers and employment support for the CF community, delivered by people who understand CF.
Sorting out work and jobs can feel tough, especially when cystic fibrosis is part of your life. Work Forwards is here to support you with whatever you need – from finding work and preparing for interviews to understanding your rights, exploring flexible options, and getting advice that fits your situation.
From day‑to‑day challenges to bigger decisions, we’re here to support you with everything to do with work and careers.
Financial support
Life with CF can be expensive. We support people with cystic fibrosis and their families by providing a number of different grants, expert support with applying for benefits, financial support and advice for students, and an Income Maximisation Service.
Supporting parents of children with CF
Our CF Connect service matches parents of children with CF with trained volunteers. These volunteers have been through similar experiences and are there to listen, support and provide a safe space to chat.
While one-to-one support is just what some people need, others may want group support. We also run online sessions for new parents through our Strong Beginnings programme.
Connecting children and young people
Our youth programme offers fun online activities for children and young people affected by CF, from crafts and cookery as part of our Building Brighter Futures programme, to getting involved in shaping the work of the Trust through our Youth Advisory Group.
Our online CF community
Our online community forum provides a safe and welcoming space to share experiences with others affected by CF and support each other. It’s a private place away from social media to share support and talk about things that matter to you. .
